In the late 1980s, because the cost of living and the unemployment rate in where I lived as a child was very high, my parents travelled outside the country in search of greener pastures.
As a teenager with no parental supervision, I was exposed and taken advantage of, by those who were supposed to protect me.As a result of the many abuses that I suffered, I felt depressed, found it difficult to trust people and was lonely.
After many invitations I reluctantly followed a friend to her church with no expectations. However, during the church service, I began to feel an overwhelming sense of peace and belonging I have never experience before.I bought a bible and started reading it to know more about God. The more I read the bible to know God, the more I became aware of His love and His plans for me. (John 3:16)
It’s been about twenty five years now since I made the decision of obeying God in everything that I do. Walking with God has been an adventurous and a challenging one, but He has kept me till now.
If you are going through any challenges, I want to assure you that God has the power to turn things around in your favour, and to give you the peace, joy, and hope that you need, and also to give you the future that you are hoping for. (Jeremiah 29:11)
I want to assure you that God loves and cares so much for you, He is able and willing to take care of whatever situation you might be going through. (Romans 8:35-39)
No matter the mistakes you have made in life, God’s arms are still wide open and He is willing and able to help you start all over again. (Philippians 3:18)
