Philippians 1:6 AMP
I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].
The Christian faith or our walk with God is full of challenges.
Because there’s an adversary who is determined to see to it that you fail in your walk with God, an adversary who will go to any length to fight you,
So he uses everything within his power to get at you.
John 10:10 NKJV
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
The only reason why you will see the enemy around you and or your family, is to steal, kill and to destroy.
He can use friends, acquaintances, your boss, your family, and even your self to sabotage the purposes of God for your life.
He steals from us through sin. Some examples are;
Pride, which can result to
Unforgiving, which leads to bitterness, which leads to vengeance.
Romans 12:19 AMP
Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave the way open for God’s wrath [and His judicial righteousness]; for it is written [in Scripture], “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord. Deuteronomy 32:35.
No matter how bad we have been treated, it has not been given to us to revenge,
Jesus said in Luke 6:28-30 AMP
bless and show kindness to those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
Whoever strikes you on the cheek, offer him the other one also [simply ignore insignificant insults or losses and do not bother to retaliate—maintain your dignity]. Whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either.
Give to everyone who asks of you. Whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.
When we don’t forgive, we become bitter, and eventually take revenge, we fall into the trap of the enemy, because our own prayers won’t be heard, and neither will we be forgiven, then the enemy gets an upper hand over us, and then he sets his 3 steps into motion.
Ecclesiastes 10:8 NKJV
He who digs a pit will fall into it, And whoever breaks through a wall will be bitten by a serpent.
Isaiah 48:18 NKJV
Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, And your righteousness like the waves of the sea.
1 Peter 5:8 says AMP
Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour.
If there’s one thing that needs to be hammered on , to the ears of the believer, is that we have an enemy out there, who will stop at nothing to get to you and I.
Ephesians 5:15-17 AMP
Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people],
making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil.
Therefore do not be foolish and thoughtless, but understand and firmly grasp what the will of the Lord is.
We must be intentional in our walk with God everyday, even if it means writing it down daily, that we will seek to please God today.
I pray that this will be your prayer today, remain blessed.
To be continued.
