Hope!
There is a story about a serious famine that occurred in Israel in the days of king Ahab (2 kings chapters 6 and 7).
The famine became so severe that some mothers started eating their children.
When the king heard of this, he became so furious and went to szee the prophet Elisha.
The Lord through the prophet gave the king this word of hope.
“By this time tomorrow, there will be more than enough to eat”.
The situation was dare and the word of God seemed so impossible to believe, but it happened exactly as the Lord has said through His prophet.
You might be going through a very serious challenge, and like the children of Israel, all hope is gone.
You might even be thinking of taking a decision which you know is wrong.
But be rest assured, our Lord has promised us that He has wonderful plans for us (Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”).
This is wonderful news!
No matter how daring your situation is, just continue to hold on to His word, for He’s a faithful God (Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;).
Don’t worry, don’t waver, there’s hope, and you will come out of the situation victoriously.
For the battle is the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15)
